Precision Choreography’s 2009 “Award of Excellence” Co-Champions!
Los Angeles, CA, November 1, 2009 With newly acquired 2008 Olympic Team Captain, World Champion, CoverGirl spokesmodel, and fashion titan, Alicia Sacramone on board, Precision Choreography has taken the country by storm. After four months, 7 states, and over 70 gymnasts, Precision Choreography has found themselves in a bind. In its quest to seek out a single Junior Olympic Gymnast from a nation-wide field, who, in their choreography session, displayed THE BEST example of: strong work ethic, dedication to artistry, and drive to bring their routine to a level of excellence that exceeds regular expectation during their session, Precision must award their annual “Award of Excellence.”
“In our 7 years, I have to say, this was the most talented field of gymnasts yet,” says owner and former Junior Olympic National Competitor, Nicole Langevin. “We worked with National Champions, Elite-bound gymnasts, and TOP’s National Athletes, and had to choose the best of the best…the rule has always been that there is one gymnast nominated per club and then only one final winner.” Well, sometimes rules need to be broken.
This year, for the first time, Precision Choreography has named “Co-Champions.” The distinguished recipients are Kennedy Lake, a level 9 gymnast from Rising Star Gymnastics in Bloomington, Indiana AND Alexis Mattern, a level 10 gymnast from Artistic Sports Academy Plus in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
And, there was some stiff competition! Some standouts included Shaelyn Cavanaugh and Demi Moscatello, of Kennett Gymnastics in Goshen, NY, Haley Haynes-Carstens of Central Coast Gymnastics in San Luis Obispo, CA, and National Vault Champion and Elite-bound, Jackie Bruce, of Rising Star Gymnastics.
Precision Choreography’s staff, known affectionately as “Precision’s Professionals,” also consists of 2004 Olympian, Courtney McCool; National Irish Step Dance Champion, Colette Diokno; and California State Floor Exercise Champion, Jordan Goldberg.
Over the course of its 7 years of business, Precision Choreography has choreographed routines that have gone on to win State, Regional, and National Titles, as well as NCAA stand-outs, including North Carolina State’s Floor stand-out Brooke Barr.
Aside from Floor Routines, Precision choreographs Award-Winning Balance Beam, Sports Acro, and Demo Routines as well. They are a prominent Member of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and an A-Rated Accredited Member of The Better Business Bureau, and have been honored guest presenters at numerous USA Gymnastics Regional Congresses.
